Foreword
These Proceedings contain the contributions to the Workshop HADRONS - 94, held in Uzhgorod on September 7-11, 1994.

They cover the topics:

- elastic and diffractive scattering of hadrons and nuclei;
- small - x and spin physics;
- meson and baryon spectroscopy;
- dual and string models;
- collective properties of the strongly interacting matter.

To speed up the publication, we avoided as far as possible editorial intervention.

We thank the speakers and writers for their contributions.

INTRODUCTION

 The papers appearing in this book comprise the proceedings of the INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP on ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES of MULTICOMPONENT SOLID FILMS and STRUCTURES. They reflect the authors' opinions and are published as presented and without change, in the interests of timely dissemination of new results and ideas in different areas of layer technology connected with multicomponent dielectrics, semiconducting or superconducting materials.

It was defermined at the Workshop that multicomponent materials and structures are developing for the future. One of the main existing problems is the establishment of physical and chemical processes which determine the creation and stability of artificial structures on micro- and nanoscales.

As the result of lectures, posters and discussions the main purpose of the scientific contacts and information exchange was achieved. It will serve for forming new joint scientific programs on multifunctional structures and creating basis for the introduction of advanced technologies in the fields of teaching, research and industry.
